Have you ever wondered, “What is an Exercise Physiologist?” Or perhaps, “What can an Exercise Physiologist do for me?” And what about the term “mobile EP”? These are all valid questions, and today, I’m here to shed some light on them.
In essence, an Exercise Physiologist is a practitioner you may not know about, but once you do, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without one. My role as an Exercise Physiologist at Hub and Spoke Health goes beyond merely aiding clients in recovering from injuries or surgeries, such as hip or knee replacements. It’s about enhancing their overall lifestyle. We take pride in helping clients break old habits and achieve long-term goals, whether it’s something as seemingly simple as being able to lift their grandchild or comfortably rise from a chair. These goals may appear minor to some, but as Exercise Physiologists, we understand the significance they hold for our clients. Our approach is always client-centred because if the client is happy, then we’ve succeeded in our mission.
What sets us apart at Hub and Spoke Health is our mobility. We bring our services directly to you, prioritizing your time and convenience. Gone are the hassles of driving to an unfamiliar clinic, losing precious time in your day, and worrying about exacerbating any existing injuries during travel.
Now, let me walk you through a typical day in my shoes. As an Exercise Physiologist at Hub and Spoke Health, I start my day by waking up, showering, and preparing to head out to meet my first client. I aim to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure I’m well-prepared before the session begins. A few minutes before the scheduled time, I knock on the door, ensuring punctuality. Sessions typically last between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the client’s needs. Throughout the session, I continuously seek feedback from the client, ensuring that our approach remains tailored to their preferences and goals. After bidding farewell to one client, I head off to meet the next, with a break for lunch in between. After all, taking care of others necessitates taking a moment to care for oneself.
So, there you have it—a glimpse into the life of an Exercise Physiologist at Hub and Spoke Health. I’m McLeish Frasier, and I’m dedicated to helping you achieve your health and fitness goals, one session at a time.
