Dan Tynan is a Registered Music Therapist (RMT, M.Mus) with over a decade of experience working across schools, NDIS settings and hospitals. He has extensive experience supporting people through music therapy and is committed to creating meaningful music experiences that promote connection, self-expression and wellbeing.
Dan has contributed to the music therapy profession through his involvement with the Australian Music Therapy Association, including serving as Victorian Branch Treasurer, Conference Marketing Facilitator, and Convenor of the “Music in Schools” panel at the 2021 Music Therapy Conference. He was also recognised as the Best Allied Health Clinician in Special Schools in Victoria in 2021.
Alongside his work as a music therapist, Dan is an active musician in Melbourne’s music scene. He has performed as a keyboardist with various funk and jazz bands at venues and festivals across Australia and sings with Exaudi, an internationally touring, award-winning choir based in Melbourne.
