Art Therapy That Comes To Your Home
Mobile Art Therapy
Hub and Spoke Health is proud to have Art Therapy as one of the services it offers participants.
Participants can access funding for Art Therapy from the NDIS within the category of “Therapeutic Supports”, much like they do for physiotherapy or exercise physiology.
What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy is a recognised and accredited mental health profession, which uses the creative process of art to enhance the emotional and physical well-being of both children and adults.

What Are The Benefits of Art Therapy?
Art Therapy has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and promote positive growth and wellbeing.
Art gives us the ability to connect with our subconscious mind, enabling us to challenge conscious behavioural patterns and narratives. The art-making process enables individuals to freely express feelings, thoughts, and stories that they may not be able to put into words. This can be a huge benefit for children and adolescents struggling to communicate and express emotions, and for adults, Art Therapy can help manage everyday stress and improve mental health.

What should I expect from my first session?
The first session will go for approximately 60-90 minutes.
This will allow time for introductions, and to make sure the participant is comfortable in the space and with the process, before introducing you to the materials. When comfortable we will engage in the art making process, focusing on self-expression and exploration. We will then reflect on the process and insights.
After your first session, we will discuss a plan for future sessions to find out what that may mean for you. Further sessions can booked in directly with your Art Therapist.
